Planetary Ruler of Astrology Rising Signs: Visualizing Your Higher Self
Through astrology, you can create a visual image for yourself of your Higher Self. Knowing what your Higher Self looks like is a good thing. That’s because imagery is important in the art and science of manifesting your reality.
Important note! There is no downside in doing a Higher Self reading. It’s always the very best of you, no matter what negative judgements there are about it.
Here’s what it looks like: My rising sign is Cancer. The ruler of Cancer is the Moon. These are the first two things to know. If your rising sign in astrology (or ascendant) is Saggitarius then we have to look at your Jupiter which is the natural ruler of Sagittarius. This is where we forget about astrological rising signs for awhile. All we care about is it’s planetary ruler.

So, we each have our planetary rulers now, right? THAT is our Higher Self. What does that look like?
We have to examine it’s placement in the chart by sign, house, and aspects to other planets. I’ll keep using my chart as an example:
- Moon in Cancer
- Moon in 12th house
- Moon conjunct Jupiter
I know that the moon is maternal, steeped in unconscious patterns of the past, and is vulnerable. Since my Moon is in Cancer, I just sort of double all that. However, it’s in my 12th House which indicates a very long memory, especially regarding spiritual matters.
To continue with this example:
My Moon is conjunct Jupiter which I read as involved in philosophy or higher teachings. All together, the package makes for a psychic, spiritual teacher, etc.
Here’s how to evaluate the reading:
When I follow (or not) the instincts, intuition, or leanings of this planetary energy how am I doing in my life?
Am I happier, more whole?
How interested do I stay in life?
