New Jersey New Age Music Artist
Ken Elkinson is by far not new to the New Age music scene. A native of New Jersey Elkinson has recorded his seventh CD titled Link which was released in May 2009.
Elkinson has experienced much success and recognition with his first six CDs. His first CD to be released was Midnight Conversations in 1997. This debut CD featured all original piano solos by Elkinson. In 2000 he released Revelry which landed on the Top 20 Charts of more than 70 radio stations.
Muhlenberg College in Pennsylvania
With his background from the tight knit Muhlenberg College in Pennsylvania, Elkinson credits the school with continually inspiring his artistic endeavors and providing him with access to everything a musician could want.
In his own words Elkinson explains how Muhlenberg fostered his development. “I never had to wait to play a beautiful baby grand piano, and this certainly kept the creative process flowing,” Elkinson gratefully remembers. What a superb start to a musical career!
Although Elkinson has ventured into different musical compositions on other CDs such as the vocalist accompaniment by on Cue by Tom Freund, Link is strictly Elkinson’s own original solo piano compositions.
A Gentle, Flowing and Soothing Music CD
This 12 track solo piano CD is gentle, flowing, and soothing. Quietly arranged tracks bring peace of mind and an inner stillness.
Link is perfect to listen to for the quieter moments of your life; as you work, rest, meditate, or read the soft, gracious tunes put you at ease and tranquility is yours!
Choosing a favorite track is nearly impossible as each one nurtures and brings a sense of comfort and relaxation to the listener. Often even some of the best CDs tend to distract me while I work. This was not so with Link.
I was able to actually focus and feel enveloped in a state of peace and contentment. I highly recommend Ken Elkinson’s latest CD, Link, for anytime you want to slow down your mind and let your heart take center stage.
