Spiritualism and Clairvoyance for Beginners: The Journey Within and Beyond - Part 2 of 3

Owens provides additional insight into the two categories of clairvoyance. Objective clairvoyance, a talent much like an outstanding singing voice that simply cannot be learned, occurs when an individual is actually capable of seeing spirits. Such a form of psychic ability is occurring less due to what Owens describes as a negative energy shift being experienced on Earth. Subjective clairvoyance, a psychic ability that can be enhanced with practice, occurs when a person is capable of seeing something and/or someone in their mind.

Speaking of practice, Owens believes that a main component of anyone's journey to develop their clairvoyance abilities involves daily, private meditation and working with a meditation group under the guidance of a medium. Owens provides critical input on how to "set the mood" for ones daily meditation, as well as describes the use of guided imagery and the power of group energy to further ones learning. She also stresses the importance of "making a date" to meditate and keeping it and reassures us that the length of our meditation session is not important; it's our intention and the consistency in our approach that is most critical in achieving the goal of increasing our psychic skills.

Discussions about what one might expect to see while meditating provides the beginner with insight into the process. The importance of recording ones observations to interpret later is also described. A simple meditation exercise is presented, along with four additional visualization exercises.
