How can reflexology help relieve prostate disorders?

By H. J. S.
2009-01-04 18:28:58

Does Reflexology aid with liver disease? I've heard shaking of hands is required by a person giving Reflexology after treatment to rid toxins coming into the body. Is this true? Also the last place to work on is the kidneys, so that toxins may be eliminated? Thank you for your time, as I have been practicing on myself and my wife for years.

Hi, I took a yoga class last night where we focused on pelvic and hip areas. Since I'm new to yoga, I imagine there's a lot of stored stuff in my system. Could that be why I couldn't sleep last night and then my kidney was hurting? Gee, I forgot to flush my system with water; won't do that again.

I seem to always have pain right before my period on the fallopian tube reflex point and if it happens, maybe every other month, it is on the left. This time it is on the left but in a little different spot, it is closer to the ankle, still on fallopian tube but maybe the groin/lymph reflex. I usually start my period within a week after this. I am wanting to be pregnant and about a week out of finding out. What does this sound like and should I rub on it? It is really sore.

Hi Lisa, it is best to gently massage the foot before starting on the reflex points. You can then begin to work first on the brain area paying special attention to the big toe. The Pineal gland helps regulate the melatonin in the body. Then work on the respiratory with smooth rhythmic strokes, letting the action of the strokes do the work to soothe and relax. Then move on to the spinal area, then the solar plexus, back to the brain, and then also the circulatory system to bring a relaxed balanced harmony.

Can reflexology really help with pain management?

By Jean
2009-04-14 18:51:02

I am a Doctor of Reflexology and after 40 years swear by it, I love it and I advise it. It is one of the best forms of self help and actual healing of some physical problems that I know of. Before Science and drugs people depended on themselves to help ease discomfort, rubbing was one way. It is natural to either rub or press an area when in pain. So learn to do it right.

Can reflexology help with the treatment of transverse myelitis? My husband has been diagnosed with this problem. It is an inflammation of the spinal cord that interrupts signal to parts of the body. He is basically paralyzed from the waist down with no feeling in his lower extremities. Physical therapy and high doses of steroids helped to get back a small amount of movement and feeling but he has had a relapse. Please help if possible.

Can reflexology help with arthritic finger joint swelling and pain?

By Admin.
2009-05-06 20:12:44

Hi Mario, Shoahannah, and Tina, Reflexology uses pressure applied to specific corresponding reflex points on the hands and feet that correspond to various parts of the body. It is a good complement to many other forms of treatment for pain as it helps to relax the body thus reducing the amount of stress that is being felt.

By Dr. Leia
2009-05-31 20:17:24

Hi Janice, acupuncture may help with the pain, however, this is a very serious problem and the causes include viral, bacterial, and autoimmune agents. You may want to look into a product such as Orenda Immune that may help support the immune system. Also, more information can be found at > Transverse Myelitis Fact Sheet: National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke.

Can it help with panic attacks and depression?

By Admin.
2009-06-16 19:53:18

Hi Joy and Russel, the amount of pressure and order in which the treatment is done is generally determined by what a qualified Reflexologist decides when he or she has talked to a client. Many times there are more than one thing to consider and the order and pressure used is determined by what has been determined would be the most beneficial.

Your chart is very detailed and well done. Thank you for offering this to the public. P.S. - I have had reflexology sessions for +3 years now. Not only does it feel great, but the Reflexologist has alerted me to potential issues with my health which were easily resolved. Thanks again!

I believe that reflexology can help a lot of people. My wife has Trigeminal Neuralgia. She had this for 12 years and had very little relief. We were in Davenport, Iowa today and saw a chart at a vendor doing massages. We tired to by a chart but he wouldn't sell one. Thank you so much for the charts. If you have other charts that might help my wife please advise or send them. Thanks so much for you web site. After seeing the charts I decided to try and go to the web and find the charts. Thanks.
