My wife had expired after three years of marriage leaving a son of one year. I remarried with another who actually proved herself a worse stepmother. She forced my son to leave home. Now he is living with his grandmother. My present wife having one daughter of fifteen years living with me enjoying her life. She has no regard or love for anyone, even for me. What should I do?

I have been in a relationship with my husband for twenty-two years. I love him and respect him, but I feel so alone. He supports me in what I do but doesn’t believe in what I do. We are two different people. He smokes pot and cigarettes, which I put up with. I gave up seven years ago, but I have my spirituality and a new path I have taken. We have nothing in common. I would really appreciate your advice.

You have to find a way to stay if you can. It’s not a question. Are you both getting what you need? If not find out what they need and give it to them. Make sure they know what you need and see if you can get it. Don’t be selfish. It takes some give and take.
